Wayne’s expertise encompasses many areas of personal injury law. As a former ship’s officer, he is naturally drawn to things maritime, including maritime injuries suffered by crew members and cruise ship passengers. In his more than twenty years of practice, Wayne has achieved great results for clients injured through the negligence of others, including car accidents, motorcycle accidents, construction site injuries, and cruise ship injuries. He also has extensive experience in commercial litigation, construction defect and appellate law.

Part of what makes Wayne such a fine lawyer is his ability to listen to clients, understand their circumstances, and explain to them their legal options. He is a passionate lawyer and works hard to maximize his clients’ claims. Before he began representing injured persons, Wayne worked on the “other side” for an insurance defense firm. As a defense lawyer, he represented construction companies, vessel owners and a major cruise line – Holland America. Working both sides of the bar has given Wayne a unique perspective. The ability to anticipate and overcome defense arguments comes naturally to him.

Wayne graduated with honors from the University of Washington School of Law in 1994. He is a member of the Washington and Florida State Bars, as well as several federal courts. He is an Eagle member of the Washington State Association for Justice and the Florida Justice Association. He has served as Chair of the Maritime and Fisheries Section of the King County Bar Association and the Maritime Law Section of the Washington State Association for Justice.

Prior to law school, Wayne served as a commissioned officer with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), competing two tours on ocean-going survey and research vessels. He also obtained a Third Mate license, with Ocean-going and unlimited tonnage endorsements from the United States Coast Guard. Wayne graduated with honors from Florida Institute of Technology with a BS in Chemical Oceanography.

Wayne is a passionate lawyer and works hard to maximize his clients’ claims. If you, or anyone you know, has been injured by the fault of another, give Wayne a call. He will gladly take the time to listen and advise you about the best way to move ahead.
